Today, the Moscow Zoo is one of the most popular cultural attractions in the capital and is home to more than 1,200 animal species.
Since 1864, the zoo has housed, bred, and rehabilitated animals of rare and endangered species. Some of its conservation efforts are carried out in collaboration with other zoos across Russia and around the world.
Large Team of Professionals
Zoologists, veterinarians, trainers, and other specialists ensure that every animal is comfortable in its enclosure. Environments, feeding, and care routines are all tailored to each species' needs and preferences. In addition, our team continually enriches the enclosures and provide entertainment for their inhabitants.
Meetings with Visitors Every Day
The Animals of Asia, South America, Cat Row, Seals and Sea-Lions and many other exhibits are spread across two connected areas—the Old and New grounds. Here, visitors can encounter wildlife from every continent and observe feeding, daily routines, and interactions. Some enclosures are equipped with special cameras, allowing you to admire the animals online.
The zoo also offers guided tours, lectures, themed and holiday programs, as well as various clubs and workshops.

Every day during the opening hours of the Moscow Zoo—from 07:30 до 20:00. At this time the animals are at their most active, and their fascinating leisure time can be observed from different angles. Sometimes individual livestreams are temporarily unavailable—for example, while specialists are working in the enclosure or due to bad weather, but they are resumed as soon as possible.

Yes. The recording of the daytime livestream can be watched in between livestreams, from 20:00 to 07:30.
